A Bit About Us
Founded by two postgraduates without a purpose during a worldwide pandemic, Burnt Breakfast is an online literary magazine. We publish works of flash fiction and poetry, alongside photography and artwork.
We upload four editions a year, one per season, published right here for free viewing! For exact dates, subscribe to our website or follow us on social media.
Our aim is to ensure that literary magazines are available for all levels of study and provide an inclusive space for all people no matter their age or level of practice.
A little more about our founders:
Georgia and Meg graduated with Creative Writing honors from the University of Chester. Burnt Breakfast is a passion project which began after their year’s stint at editing the University of Chester’s creative writing magazine Pandora’s Box.
Georgia (she/her) writes predominantly short and flash fiction, focusing on weird and wonderful tales of death and revolution. She has been published in Pandora’s Box and Fortnightly Review.
Meg (she/her) writes a mixture of both forms. Her favorite genre is science fiction, specifically stuff that's a little horror or fantastical. Meg's poetry has also been published in Pandora’s Box.
